Elderly Advocates is actively recruiting help through our Volunteer Involvement Program. Whether you are a working adult, retiree, or student, you are a VIP to us! What better way to give back to those who have given us so much than by volunteering some time? Take a look at the opportunities below. Volunteer Opportunites

    • Information sessions at various venues on such things as cameras, Family Councils, and long-term care education.

    • Hosting tables at health fairs and other public events.

    • Providing information article for our website and/or newsletter

    • Assisting with camera issues in facilities.

    • Volunteer Recruitment and retention

  • We are a non-partisan organization.

    Our organization engages in limited, mission-related advocacy and occasional lobbying activities, always within the IRS guidelines for 501(c)(3) organizations.

    • Christmas Secret Santa.

    • Finding residents in need of something and assisting.

    • Periodic uplifting things for residents.

    • Advocacy for residents or representative.

    • Initial intake from resident or family caregiver and giving basic information and resources.

    • Referring involved intake to designated person.

    • Working with Ombudsman Office.

    • Following state agencies and other organizations updating on activities of interest to Board.

    • Calling different agencies and organizations to learn more and update Board

    • Making a list of other advocacy organizations that are like minded and making a list.

    • Any other helpful information

    • Our in person fundraising events

    • Researching other revenue sources

    • Fundraising Campaigns Planning such as Giving Tuesday.
