Our Story
Uncle Bill was a dedicated Boy Scout leader in Johnstown, Pa for over twenty years. He prided himself in teaching scouts how to hike, camp and fish. He was also a member of the Sierra Club. In younger years, Bill was proud to work at Yosemite National Park putting out the fires the campers left behind. He loved to tell the stories of climbing Mt. Whitney, hiking through the Grand Canyon and fighting off bears when they tried to steal the food from his campsite.

In the pages of our story, Elderly Advocates would like to acknowledge Eadie/Hill Trial Lawyers and Apelis Law Office as our two founding sponsors, who approached us to ask how they could help. These first two sponsorships provided us with support to start a website to bring awareness of our efforts. This website has been a great asset to Elderly Advocates, helping us get resources out, make the latest stories available, and raise awareness of the crisis the elderly face now and in the future in long-term care. With this website, we have been able to advance our mission to educate, support, and advocate. This was a huge challenge in starting a non-profit that our state desperately needed to help fill the gaps.
Because of this founding help, we continue to grow the village of people helping people and empower those with loved ones in long-term care to make the best decisions they can. William Eadie now has a solo practice (Eadie Law) but remains dedicated to supporting our efforts to improve the quality of life for all in long-term care
