ThIs Story is about Nursing Homes in Ohio!!
This is Ohio, not some other state! This story by Dayton Daily News is one that is upsetting. How does a nurse take medications from several facilities in several counties, and we have no way to stop this after the first one? It’s heartbreaking to think of the residents that may not have gotten medicine over this, and possibly pain meds! How can any of us do background checks without proper tracking of firings or incidents, especially recen? This is the exact reason we feel the working in the “Never Alone Act: will hurt more than help. It has advocate prohibitions, where are the staff prohibitions? it talk about families doing something wrong, even criminal. We believe they should worry about staff, not families! This article indicates that we might be right!
